Tentative Contract Language Changes BPS/Local 1010 Support Staff Employees 2019-2020

Article 13 - Leave with Pay 13.012 An employee may transfer up to eight hours of sick leave to another employee who has exhausted his or her sick leave. The recipient must need at least 5 sick days and provide documentation, by treating physician, of the illness, accident, or injury. Sick leave will be transferred as needed on a first in, first out basis. The authorizing employee must have a minimum of five sick days in order to participate.

Article 13.08 - Bereavement Leave Three days of bereavement leave shall be granted to an employee at the time of death of a family member. Such leave shall not be accumulated to sick leave.

Article 27.09 - Maintenance on call plan Current MOU added into contract language; added training Custodians to on call list And daily stipend increased from $10.00 to $15.00 per day.

Article 32 - Wages A recurring wage increase of $.70 per hour per employee, with retro pay to July 1, 2019 to ratification date.

Article 32.06 - Transportation Mechanic Tool Reimbursement Program Transportation employees in an automotive role (i.e.: Mechanic Helper, Mechanical Technical I-III who have completed their probation period will be eligible for the BPS Tool Reimbursement Program. (Administration will conduct an initial minimum Inventory of employee’s required tools.) An annual replacement supplement will be provided upon verification of the loss of functionality of the tools required to maintain proper minimum inventory. This verification must be completed on the prescribed form. Maximum annual allowance per employee of $150.00.

Contract voting - IUPAT Local 1010

The Board and Local 1010 have tentatively agreed upon a contract for the 2019-20 school year. The changes to the collective bargaining agreement will be voted upon by the 1010 represented staff on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the following locations:

Audubon Elementary 8:00 am- 3:00 pm

Challenger 7 Elementary 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

ESF 7:00 am- 3:00 pm

Harbor City Elementary 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

North Area Transportation 8:00am — 4:00 pm

Planning/Permitting Rockledge 7:00 am- 3:00 pm

Westside Elementary 7:30 am- 3:00 pm

1010 Union Office 7:OOam— 6:00pm

Please allow your represented staff the appropriate time necessary to participate in the voting process. If they are not voting at lunchtime, employees shall be paid under LOD when leaving the worksite to vote.
